Structureflex Pacific  was recently contracted to design and fabricate some unique shade structures to cover a play area at Port Phillip Special School. The shade structures needed to provide shade whilst still being visually stimulating for the students.

After concept review it was decided that shade structures shaped like birds and a local species of butterfly would fulfil the requirements best. Artwork representing these animals was created and the designs were printed onto a PVC shade fabric.

All components were pre-fabricated and transported to site where Shadeliving performed the installation.

These special order shade structures are available from Structureflex with printed designs that can be customised to suit client requirements. The galvanised steel frames can be powder coated in a choice of colours, enabling the shade structure to suit its surrounding environment and customer specifications.

Alternative shapes and designs can be developed through consultation with Structureflex.
