Spantech was contracted to design and construct two new concrete basketball courts at the Annandale Christian School in Townsville, Qld, complete with a multipurpose shade structure over one court.
Spantech constructed the concrete basketball courts, installed basketball/netball towers and made provision for tennis and volleyball nets.
Measuring 40 metres x 20 metres, the curved roof structure was designed for future expansion and oriented so the building could be extended when funding became available. The building has full clearances for competition level basketball.
