History was created at leading architecture firm BVN recently with the announcement of twenty-five new appointments to senior positions. BVN also made the highest number of promotions to the higher ranks of Senior Practice Director and Practice Director with eight and thirteen appointments respectively.

BVN CEO Mr James Grose observed that the appointments reflected the deep pool of talented architects working in the BVN studios. Commenting on the appointment of thirteen Practice Directors, he said the senior appointments also reflected BVN’s continued move towards gender equity, with five of these leadership positions going to women.

The breadth of BVN’s work is also reflected in the appointments with the eight new Senior Practice Directors being involved in projects ranging from workplace design to commercial office towers and Australia’s largest BIM project, the relocation of the School of Military Engineering at Holsworthy that recently won the ‘Australian Construction Achievement Award for 2016’ given by the Australian Constructors Association and Engineers Australia.

The Senior Practice Directors are: Terry Braddock, Brian Clohessy, Leny Lembo, Susanne Mayer, Glen Millar, Domino Risch, Ross Seymour and Peter Titmuss.

The Practice Directors are: Ali Bounds, Sally Johnson and Catherine Skinner, Barry Dineen and Asher Galvin.

Additionally, BVN appointed four Senior Associates and eight Associates revealing the talent amongst the younger architects. The Senior Associates are Tim Crawshaw, Kirstie Irwin, Kim Small and Stuart Young while the newest Associates are Isabell Beck, Chris Bickerton, Jan Christel, Jamie Don, Alastair Flynn, Tim Gibson, Neil Haybittel and Juan Salazar.
