The Australian Timber Design Awards, now in its 10th year, has been restructured.

It includes an overhaul of the categories, the introduction of Regional Awards and a simpler entry format.

From this year there are four primary entry categories, all building related, three other traditional categories — Interior Fitout for commercial and resort type projects, Outdoor Timber and Sustainable Design.

There are now eight Best Use of categories, including the Best use of Australian Certified Timber, and the Young Designers Encouragement Award for those 30 or under at the time the project is completed.

Final submissions need to be received by close of business on July 17. All of the national winners will be announced late November. Visit www.timberawards.com.au for more information and entry forms.
