New figures released today from Konica Minolta show that the organisation has performed strongly in a fairly stagnant market.

With a corporate growth rate for last year of 20 per cent, Konica Minolta announced that it will upgrade its current office and warehouse facility and move to a purpose built, eco-friendly building.

Recent research conducted as part of the Konica Minolta ‘Life in Colour’ thought leadership program, found that more than half of Australian professionals (62 per cent) believe they would be more productive when working in an eco-friendly environment, yet only six per cent rate their workplace as being ‘green’.

In response to the findings, Konica Minolta chose a new building designed especially to attain a 4 star Green Star rating - a comprehensive, national, voluntary environmental rating scheme evaluating the environmental design and achievements of buildings. The building’s design also attained a 4.5 star National Australian Built Environmental Rating System (NABERS)*.

The new building is located 400m from the new train station, on the Epping to Chatswood rail link, the office will be accessible from both Delhi Road as well as from Richardson Place.

Commenting on the new facilities, John Venett, Konica Minolta national marketing manager, said: “Our strong performance in Australia and future growth plans meant that we needed to reassess our current office capacity and facilities at the head office in Sydney.

The new office address is The Precinct Corporate Centre, 105 Delhi Road, North Ryde. It is a purpose-built 4,700 sqm sole tenancy, commercial office building in the same locality as its current HQ at Link Business Park, Macquarie Park. Konica Minolta worked with Goodman and its advisors, LPC Australia, to plan the property transition.
