Boral has developed new online tools to help make selecting building materials such as roof tiles, bricks and stone a simpler process for consumers.

Part of Boral's new Get the Look initiative, these tools have been created so new home builders and renovators can access more than 600 exterior Boral products in one central location - either at home on a computer or out and about on a tablet or smart phone.

Consumers searching for ideas and inspiration may visit display homes, as well as read magazines, blogs and websites to research every aspect of their build. Get the Look can help them visualise their residential dream and make confident decisions about material selection. It can also connect consumers with builders who have registered with the program.

"The Get the Look program, which includes printed materials and online tools, helps homeowners decide on materials and design styles early in the new build or renovation process," said Glenn Simpkin, Boral divisional marketing manager.

"It presents brick and roof tile design options for four home styles - architectural, modern, contemporary and heritage - and directs consumers to other planning tools such as the new Boral Sampler app,” advised Simpkin.

The mobile application samples more than 600 exterior Boral products including bricks, stone cladding, roof tiles, render, windows, decking and pavers.

Presented like a moodboard with product swatch combinations, selections can be downloaded, emailed and printed to share with their builder.
