The merging of National Hire with Coates makes it the sixth largest hire company in the world. Caterpillar equipment is now available from Coates branches throughout ACT, NSW and WA.
Current Coates and National Hire stores are being rebranded with a total of 68 Coates, The Cat Rental Store locations across ACT, NSW and WA. There is no commercial relationship between the new Coates Group and the Cat dealerships in other states at present, so those stores will remain unchanged.
Kieran White, General Manager Sales and Marketing for Coates, said that Cat equipment started arriving at ACT, NSW and WA stores in August last year and there is now a wide range of small to mid-sized Cat equipment available across Australian states. The Cat equipment available includes skid steer loaders, excavators, motor graders, wheel loaders, and work tools. White said that in conjunction with WesTrac Rental’s Fleet across the ACT, NSW and WA, a full selection of equipment was on offer. All Cat equipment undergoes rented is new or near new and undergo a rigorous maintenance check prior to each rental.
