Expandable barriers from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) were recently installed throughout Sydney’s landmark QVB shopping centre to improve both access control and overall security.
ATDC’s expandable barriers were installed in strategic areas of the shopping centre, helping the management lock down specific areas, reduce the cost of manned security patrols as well as deter vagrants and homeless people from sleeping in the shopping centre.
In addition to access control, the expandable barriers also assisted with reducing theft of fresh produce, food and other stock, which were generally delivered to the centre outside of normal trading hours.
Featuring a retro 50s style, ATDC’s expandable barriers also complemented the striking heritage features of QVB’s architecture.
Key features of ATDC’s expandable barriers include trackless design; precision engineered steel or aluminium construction; professional baked enamel powder coated finish; multi-point locking options available for extra security if required; versatile application, also helping secure temporary tenancies, pop-up kiosks and OHS Worksafe environments; and available for purchase or rental on a long term or short term basis.
Some of ATDC’s expandable barriers have passed the rigorous testing requirements under Australian Standard 4687-4007 Temporary Fencing and Hoarding including Simulated Climbing, Wind Force Overturn, Foothold Aperture and Impact tests.
These expandable barriers are also able to comply in certain circumstances with the deemed to satisfy provisions of the Building Code of Australia.
ATDC’s expandable barriers are now available for sale in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth, and all regional towns and centres across Australia.
