    FAQ

Phoenix Tapware has been manufacturing and supplying the Australian market with Bathroom and Kitchen products for more than two decades. Our products are sold throughout Australia and are available through leading bathroom retailers. We have a diverse collection of mixers, three piece tap sets, showers and accessories to suit various design and budget requirements. WELS stands for ‘Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards’. It is an Australian government initiative which enforces mandatory labelling for all tapware and shower products sold in Australia, to indicate their water efficiency. The higher the WELS star rating on a product, the more water efficient the product is.

Yes, all Phoenix tapware and shower products meet stringent Australian Standards and comply with the Australian Government’s mandatory WELS testing. Phoenix Tapware also holds an Australian Standards Watermark licence AS/N253718. So you can be confident about the quality of our products.

Mixer taps have become much more popular in recent years due to both their design and function. Mixer taps use a ceramic disc cartridge technology to mix and control the flow of water, as opposed to conventional tapware which uses a rubber valve system. Conventional three piece tapware can be fitted with ceramic discs although it is not always a standard inclusion, so whether you choose mixers or taps, it all comes down to your preference.

Yes, Phoenix taps can be used with both low and high water pressure if the pressure is no less than 150 kpa and no more than 500 kpa. Should the pressure exceed 500 kpa our products can still be used as long as an approved pressure limiting device is fitted.
