An innovative glass facade system from Paarhammer Windows & Doors has won the Selector Best New Product Award 2014, sponsored by Selector and Architectural Product News, and Designbuild. The Eco Facade by Paarhammer was featured at Designbuild 2014.

The energy efficient and sustainable glass façade featuring a low U-value from 0.8 is simple to assemble, and may consist of fixed and openable windows and doors, allowing for flexibility in design. Made from plantation or FSC certified timbers, the Eco Facade comes with double or triple glazing and the exterior is cladded with low maintenance aluminium (only 50mm wide and available in a variety of colours).

Jury comment

Paarhammer’s Eco-Facade system was a standout product in this year’s Selector Best New Product Award. Locally produced using FSC-certified timber, the Eco-Facade glazing system achieves a highly efficient U-value of 0.8 and combines solid timber internal frames and low-maintenance exterior aluminium trims. Unique concealed frame connections allow for fast on-site assembly. Paarhammer’s proactive sustainable practices are also highly commendable. This is a highly resolved and desirable glazing system.
