Carlton has the highest student population in Melbourne and developer GSA Australia aims to reduce the gap in demand with the new Pelham Street project, designed to provide an additional 244 beds to cater for the ever-growing student accommodation sector.

Designed by DKO Architecture and built by Infinity Constructions, the Pelham Street Student Accommodation facility is located near the famous Haymarket Roundabout and directly opposite Melbourne University’s Faculty of Business and Economics.

Sync by Hickory Group partnered with GSA Australia to deliver 262 bathroom pods for the 13-storey project. Encompassing four different bathroom designs, the bathroom pods feature Caroma toilets, Phoenix bathroom accessories and mirrored shaving cabinets. A neutral colour scheme will allow resident students to personalise the space to their preferences.

These bathroom pods have a stone threshold to accommodate for the fact that set downs were not included in the slab, demonstrating the versatility of the pod to be integrated into the building layout, regardless of the project stage.
