Digiglass have recently installed decorative glass in 4 separate areas across the front of Geraldton Regional Hospital.
Jones Coulter Young in Western Australia were the architects in involved with the decorative glass installation and Rachel Hancock of TwoFish Creative, created the digital photomontage. Bridget Norton, also from TwoFish, took the arial photographs for the decorative glass from a Cessna.
The wider Geraldton community, including mine site managers, station workers and School of the air kids, contributed extensively to the decorative glass installation project with "images of the texture of their backyard".
The result is a visual journey along Geraldton latitude lines from Abrolhos Islands, across the grain handling port to the agricultural hinterland and out into the desert. All images were masterfully printed and laminated into the Geraldton Regional Hospital glazed frontage by DigiGlass Australasia. A combination of DuPont PVB interlayer was used to create the transparency levels in the decorative glass.
