Crimsafe Security Systems supplied their outdoor enclosure and pool fencing systems to the Wirraway Homestead project in Biddaddaba, Queensland.

The owners of Wirraway Homestead sought an elegant solution to meet pool compliance requirements as well as keep the home cool and secure. The client’s brief required the infill panels to enclose the existing timber balustrade, without obstructing the expansive view across the pool from the enclosed verandah.

The remoteness of the location and the requirement to work right up to the edge of the pool that came to the lower edge of the verandah were major challenges for the installer, Crimsafe licensee Central Glass and Aluminium.

The 30 infill panels for the outdoor enclosure were manufactured onsite using laser measuring technology. Measuring an average span of 2600mm x 3200mm, the large panels were installed into the existing timber verandah structure using scaffolding. Midrails, which were added to strengthen the large panels, were fitted at the precise height of the existing handrail in a concealed way so that they weren’t visible when looking outward, resulting in a seamless vista for the residents.
