Materials from Architectural Glass & Cladding were used by the fabricators working on the facade of the brand new 35-storey tower located in the heart of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.

Designed by DBI Design and constructed by Multiplex, The Beach Apartments project was completed on schedule, well ahead of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Avani Broadbeach Residences, as it is known now, will be managed by Thailand-based Minor Hotels. The building stands 108 metres tall and is located in close proximity to the beach, Kurrawa Surf Club, The Star Gold Coast, Pacific Fair and the new light rail.

Standing on a 3,000-square-metre footprint, the project comprises of a tower floor plate of 620 square metres and a gross building area of 30,757 square metres.

The impressive facade features over 3,000 glazing panels and 1,089 balustrade panels fabricated by local supplier Queensland Façade Systems and Feenix Balustrades using products supplied by Architectural Glass & Cladding.

Multiplex’s regional managing director for Queensland, Graham Cottam observes that The Beach Apartments has delivered a major boost to the Gold Coast economy.

Multiplex’s second Gold Coast project since the Hilton Surfers Paradise was completed in 2011, The Beach Apartments also features communal facilities such as an outdoor pool and barbecue area, a Zen garden, a residents’ lounge and a gymnasium.
