ACO Polycrete products were installed on the Airport Link drive flyover to manage the removal of surface water as well as facilitate quick access to the drains.
Brisbane Airport Link, a major Australian road infrastructure project comprised of three major components including a 6.7km tunnel, the Windsor to Kedron section of the Northern Busway and a 750m flyover and fast diamond intersection. A key objective of the project involved the integration of the new infrastructure into existing road networks and carriageways.
ACO’s PowerDrain system featuring heavy duty anti-shunt boltless locking grates was used to manage the removal of the road’s surface water whilst enabling quick and easy access for maintenance.
ACO products specified for the project included PowerDrain S300K with slotted ductile iron grates and ACO TMR certified plastic pits and steel lids.
