Various drainage products from ACO Polycrete were installed at the new multi-level car park at the Brisbane Domestic Airport Terminal.
The largest single structure car park in the southern hemisphere, the new airport car park building is connected to the terminal through the ‘Skywalk’ passing over the terminal road system for quick and safe passage of passengers to and from their cars.
Integrating the new construction with the terminal frontage was a challenge for designers. New pavements needed to be carefully graded to meet with existing floor levels.
ARUP specified various ACO Drain systems, complete with Heelsafe antislip grates for installation in several locations to ensure efficient drainage and compliance with all pedestrian safety requirements.
ACO products specified for the project included KlassikDrain K100 with Iron Intercept Heelsafe anti-slip grates, various ACO Drain systems, ACO Cablemate pit enclosures and ACO Access ductile iron cover and frame systems.
