European-born Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) consultants, Sustainalytics have opened their first Australian office in Sydney.
Currently, Sustainalytics’ ESG and corporate governance research covers more than 4500 companies globally and its Controversies Research highlights ESG risk across a worldwide universe of more than 10,000 companies. The firm also supports hundreds of the world’s leading asset owners and investment managers who incorporate ESG and corporate governance factors into their investment processes.
Their major role will be to support Australian investors with the development and implementation of responsible investment strategies and to use their research to integrate environmental, social and governance factors into their client’s investment processes.
According to Sustainalytics CEO Michael Jantzi, as Australia continues to experience significant growth, more investors will begin integrating ESG factors into their investment strategies. The firm believes a long-lasting on-the-ground market presence can be leveraged to better support their current and future clients in Australia and New Zealand.
