LoĒ-452® is the next level of low-E glass with a quadruple layer of silver that raises the bar in high performing low-E glass. Unlike tinted glass, LoE-452 has the unique ability to reject solar heat without spoiling the view, making it the perfect low-E glass for the most energy efficient commercial and residential projects. The performance figures speak for themselves.

Features

Solar control: LoE-452 blocks harshness of the sun with a low Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.22 on Clear compared with 0.62 of regular low-E double glazed.

Thermal insulation: When room temperature falls below 11 degrees, there is a risk of thermal discomfort inside the room. It has a low U-Value of just 1.34 compared to 1.6 of regular low-E double glazed.

Easy-clean coating: LoE-452 comes standard with Neat, a titanium dioxide layer, which harnesses the sun’s rays to loosen dirt so the rain can wash it away with minimal streaks.

Energy saving: At the top of its game in terms of passive design, LoE-452 boasts exceptionally low solar gain coupled with outstanding insulating capabilities for less energy consumption.

High visibility: LoE-452 achieves a Visible Light Transmission (VLT) figure of 50% in certain IGU make-ups, above the desired standard for commercial projects, unlike tinted glass.

Fade protection: LoE-452 blocks 99% of the sun’s damaging UV rays, a leading cause of fading.

Applications

A clear quad silver low-E with a subtle grey tinge and the next level of performance makes LoE-452 the superior option for solar control and light balance. In fact, it boasts an LSG (Light to Solar Gain) of 2.33, matched only by LoĒ³-366®; only LoE-452 has a lower SHGC, which gives it added performance. Due to its outstanding solar control, we recommend it for both commercial and residential applications in predominantly warm climates or western facing elevations in mixed climates.

Commercial applications:

  • Education facilities
  • Accommodation
  • Public spaces
  • Hospitality
  • Office buildings
  • Healthcare
  • Green Star projects

Residential applications:

  • High-end residential
  • Multi-residential
  • High energy-rated homes
