Zip HydroTap Elite was specified for the kitchen of a display suite designed for a boutique apartment development in New Farm, Queensland.

Designed to provide prospective buyers a glimpse into the lifestyle that awaited them as a resident, the display suite of Oxlade Residences combined a timeless appeal with a highly functional residential space packed with modern inclusions.

Designed by the Brisbane-based architectural studio, bureau^proberts for The Seymour Group, the Oxlade Residences is a boutique apartment development with 39 units. The display suite showcased a typical apartment at the project and also functioned as the sales and marketing showroom to offer potential purchasers an experiential way to discover and engage with the space, as well as view the fittings and fixtures specified for the development.

Being the focus of the apartment, the kitchen needed to reflect the sophistication and luxury expected by potential buyers. The goal was to provide the ultimate in luxury lifestyle living, hence great attention was paid to the specification of materials, fittings and fixtures.

The open plan design features the kitchen as an extension of the living area. A minimal palette of tones, textures and colours highlights natural materials used in the space such as stone and timber veneer. The brass highlights are complemented by the Zip HydroTap Elite in Brushed Gold, allowing these elements to seamlessly integrate into the overall colour scheme.

Since a display suite aims to provide potential purchasers with a snapshot of the space where they can easily imagine themselves living, entertaining and relaxing in future, it was important that the selection of finishes and fixtures, together with the detailing in the joinery, reflected the level of elegance and exclusivity expected by buyers.

The Zip HydroTap Elite with filtered chilled and sparkling water was specified for its functionality and ability to meet all necessary requirements regarding size, finishes and aesthetics.

By specifying Zip HydroTap Elite, the designers could keep the ‘front end’ of the kitchen sleek and simple with a sophisticated aesthetic highlighted by its very clean exterior. The workspace of the kitchen is hidden, minimising clutter and enhancing the ideal of an always-clean area.

One of the primary objectives of the display apartment was to exceed market expectations for this high-end development. The carefully specified materials palette and products not only enhance the aesthetics of the space but also highlight the luxurious detailing, enriching the overall design of the apartment.
