The Prince’s Terrace project in Adelaide has officially received the prestigious 6 Star Green Star ‘As Built’ accreditation from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). The project had already achieved the residential design Green Star rating upon completion in December 2017.

With the latest accreditation, the development becomes the highest rated Green Star project in South Australia. The final built form achieved an impressive 84.6 rating from a possible 97 during the first round of assessment.

In summary, the GBCA advised that The Prince’s Terrace was:

  • The first 6 Star residential ‘Design’ rated project in Australia
  • The first 6 Star ‘Design’ and ‘As Built’ rated project in SA
  • The first 6 Star Multi-Unit Residential ‘Design’ and ‘As Built’ project in Australia
  • Highest scoring Green Star project in SA (across all rating tools)

Comprising of 12 high-quality homes, the development exemplifies sustainable living. Each home uses 50 per cent less energy and potable water than a typical urban townhouse, and generates 40 per cent less carbon emissions in comparison with a standard household. Additionally, 95% of all waste generated in the build were recycled.

Special thanks and congratulations to project partners The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, Renewal SA, and Defence Housing Australia.
