Designer Fred Tabet of Wonderful Kitchens set out to create a new kitchen design to convert the existing closed off kitchen, that was tucked away, into to a kitchen that was worthy of centre stage.

The new open-plan kitchen design has been integrated into the larger dining and lounge living area, reclaiming its rightful spot within the home.

The kitchen design uses crisp White on White polyurethane and carefully executed clean lines, giving a refreshed and revitalised look. The timber detailing and a decorative tiled border give the kitchen an edge over the rest of the home.

The owners opted for a drawer-heavy design, inspired from a traditional European working kitchen, so that attention was not detracted from the beautiful raked ceiling with bulky wall cabinets.

A generous-sized preparation island offers ample storage options, and the full height glass splashback protects against cooking splatters. The kitchen is fully equipped and prepared for a full-scale dinner party.

The kitchen design features no overhead cabinets, making the kitchen a focal point and gives it a clean contemporary feel.
