The winners of Viridian Vision Awards 2012 will be announced on Friday May 11 at the 2012 National Architecture Conference in Brisbane.

Now in its fourth year, the Vision Awards are designed to celebrate and promote the energy efficient and innovative use of glass in Australian architecture.

Viridian Marketing Manager Lachlan Austin comments that the Vision Awards have attracted great interest from the industry this year and the entries have been of exceptionally high standard.

Last year’s Vision Award winners took home $5,000 each in prize money in addition to receiving extensive media exposure as a result of their award nominations.

Submissions for this year’s competition close on April 30th.

The 2012 Vision Awards competition has lined up attractive prizes for the winners including a trip to Venice for the new 'Overall Vision Award Winner' category. The winner of the new category will enjoy a trip to Venice with two passes to the exclusive opening of the 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale, courtesy of Viridian and the Australian Institute of Architects.
