German brand Viega has introduced a new range of flush plates featuring a stylish appearance and high functionality in a water conserving design. Part of the latest sanitary solutions from Viega, one of the leading international manufacturers of concealed cistern technology, the new Visign for More Sensitive flush plates complement Mono Tec, the company’s concealed dual flushing cistern.

The hygienic design of Visign for More Sensitive enables contactless flushing with the flush plates activated simply by passing a hand in front of the two sensor fields, without any actual contact required between user and panel.

Robert Hardgrove, Viega’s Technical Manager/Strategic Projects explains that the flush plates offer the perfect combination of aesthetics and user-friendly functionality. Unlike other non-contact systems, the Visign for More Sensitive flush plates feature glass surfaces that are absolutely flat with the only markings being two discreet three-quarter circles indicating the large and small flushing volumes. The extremely elegant appearance is matched by the flush plates’ excellent hygiene properties and easy care.

Key features of Viega’s Visign for More Sensitive flush plates include individually adjustable configurations of flushing volumes using intelligent electronics; unique magnetic key simplifying cleaning by deactivating all functions and eliminating any risk of unwanted flushing; convenience of a mains power supply unit or a battery unit (when replacing mechanically operated flush plates; power supply for more than 7,000 flushes with four standard round cell batteries; and flushing system operable manually in the event of a power failure by means of a button concealed behind the panel.

The Visign for More Sensitive flush plates have received a number of awards including the iF product design prize, the Good Design Award and the Innovationspreis Architektur und Bauwesen.
