As a provider of highly efficient technical design and data management software solutions, Vertex CAD/PDM Systems Australia
certainly know the ins and outs of the building, machinery, plant and process, electrical and automation industries.
“We are developing, marketing and selling industry-specific softwares for the building industry and mechanical engineering industry,” explained Vertex’s managing director, Juho Suomalainen.
Vertex showcased its CAD/PDM software systems at DesignBUILD, with the aim of capturing the attention of residential and light commercial builders.
“We are showcasing our building design software which is for architects for steel framers. The market area in Australia is wide and we have to be everywhere,” said Suomalainen when asked about his decision to be involved at DesignBUILD.
Vertex is a member of the National Association of Steel-Frames Housing Inc (NASH), an organisation that represents the interests of the fabricators of steel framing systems for the housing industry. Vertex recognises the importance of the industry and the value of using customised, industry-specific design aids to create added value to customers’ business.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s (working with) steel or timber frame, you can do both with Vertex.”
“So basically, everything from sales to products, it can be done with one software package. We have the interfaces for product machines such as roll formers and timber framing stations and with our system, the customer can get all the benefits for the whole chain. They don’t have to have several softwares and they don’t have to send the information from application to application,” said Suomalainen.
The flexibility of the Vertex platform provides customers the benefit of a tailor made solution, giving them a competitive edge in the market.
