Custom slotted black FR laminate panels from Ultraflex Panelling were installed in the reception and office areas of the Vice Chancellor’s offices at Macquarie University during a recent refurbishment.
Reception Area
Custom ceiling panels were manufactured using shop drawings provided by Ultraflex’s drafting team. The tapered panels were manufactured from black fire rated MDF substrate with a timber melamine finish and matching ABS edge banding.
About 15 square metres of Ultraflex’s custom slotted black FR laminate panels were used in the application.
Office Area
Ultraflex also custom manufactured slotted ceiling panels for the main office area to match with the reception area. The panels were made from specially sourced black FR MDF core board featuring clean shadowlines through the slots, which allowed for concealed semi-recessed slot fixing for fast installation of the panels on-site.
About 100 square metres of Ultraflex’s custom slotted black FR laminate panels were used in the application.
