Several Ultraflex Panelling products were used for the interior works at the University of Sydney’s Charles Perkins Centre.

Handrails

Ultraflex’s design and drafting team worked collaboratively with the architect, builder and installer to deliver a bespoke handrail system. Ultraflex also manufactured the complete balustrade system including floor guides, subframe, aluminium composite cladding and 2-pac polyurethane capping sections. Ultraflex’s custom curved handrails were supplied for the installation.

Atrium Ceiling

Ultraflex manufactured custom curved ceiling support sub-framing and curved facing panels to suit the curved building design. About 200 square metres of Ultraflex’s custom curved ceiling panels were used for the application.

Lift Cladding

Ultraflex custom manufactured aluminium composite panels and solid stainless steel sheets for lift cladding with the process including in-house drafting, cut to size and V-grooving on the CNC routers, then folding and fixing angles for fast and easy installation on site.

About 100 square metres of Ultraflex’s aluminium composite panels were used in the application.

Entry Ceiling Panels

Ultraflex was engaged by the veneered composite panel supplier to perforate their sheets on its CNC routers to improve the acoustics in the entry area to the building while maintaining a consistent look from solid to perforated panels.

About 300 square metres of perforated Parklex panels were used in the application.
