Treotham Automation Pty Ltd has launched a new range of safety sensors designed to ensure worker protection in various industrial applications.

The Reer Admiral AX-LR Long Range safety light system from Treotham Automation protects workers up to 60m away in a range of industrial environments.

Featuring two safe PNP static outputs, the Admiral AX LR can work without any external control unit, with all the safety functions integrated inside the emitter and the receiver.

Some of the key features of Reer Admiral AX-LR Long Range safety light system include easy connection and installation, thanks to the M12 connectors and use of standard cables; integration of main safety functions, including self-monitoring of safety circuits; and for the AX models, integration of external device monitoring (EDM) and Start/Restart interlock functions.

The Reer Admiral AX-LR delivers reliability in the field, thanks to the rugged construction and the high level of immunity to external interference. Master/Slave models are available for cascade connection of two light curtains as well as models with floating blanking, and a wide variety of heights and resolutions.

Special versions in WT/WTH watertight enclosure are available on request. Special models conforming to ATEX Directive 94/9/CE – Dust Zone 22 - Gas Zone 2 are also available on request.

Admiral light curtains may be connected to the dedicated safety interfaces series AD SR, directly to contactors actuated and controlled by the light curtain, to MOSAIC, or to suitable commercial safety modules or safety PLCs.

The Reer Admiral AX-LR Long Range safety light system is compliant with the requirements of the European Standard EN 61496-1 and the International Standard IEC 61496-1-2.
