Transforma  is proud to present an inspirational Art Exhibition by local Adelaide Artist Lois Turner at the Transforma Showroom from November 5 to December 5, 2009.

Lois Turner, contemporary artist and survivor of breast cancer, has taken a proactive role in promoting breast cancer awareness through the visual arts.

Her ‘KEEPING TRACK(S)’ exhibition creatively explores a number of issues specific to women who are currently living in remote and indigenous communities. Through her striking abstract painting collection, Lois hopes to impact the outcome of these women by donating a portion of every painting sold to the McGrath Foundation. The McGrath Foundation supports McGrath Breast Care Nurses in rural and regional Australia and educates young women to be breast aware.

Tim Wood, Transforma Managing Director comments, “Beautiful artwork is a great asset in any home and we are excited to have the opportunity to display original pieces in our showroom. Customers are excited to be able to purchase the actual piece that is on display with their furniture selection. Having a piece of original art that not only looks great but contributes towards a very relevant and impacting issue, will make their purchase even more unique.”

Transforma will launch the Art Exhibition on Thursday November 5, 2009 with a special presentation of the new range of artwork created by Lois Turner. Peter Vaughan, CEO Business SA and Governor of the State Theatre Company of SA will open the exhibition and guests can enjoy light refreshments and fine wine.
