Timbercrete  and the Shoalhaven Business Chamber recently collaborated to construct a home to display sustainable building practices and products. The aim of the project is to design and build an affordable, sustainable, energy efficient show home that can then be used as a venue for workshops and seminars to educate prospective home owners.

Timbercrete has furthered this goal by providing its own ecologically sustainable building materials in the home. Timbercrete's building blocks are manufactured using significantly less energy than traditional clay fired bricks and can be used as bricks, blocks, panels and pavers.

These sustainable building blocks have helped to improve thermal mass and insulation value, helping to keep the home cool in summer and warm in winter without additional heating or cooling sources.

Timbercrete's bricks are cost effective and typically larger and lighter, making construction faster and helping to reduce laying costs.
