Glass balustrades by Thump Architectural Fittings were specified for the GE Technology Centre Jandakot in Perth, WA.

Global conglomerate GE opened a $100 million technology and learning complex in Perth, its first in-country support and maintenance centre for the oil and gas industry.

Thumps X1 series glass balustrades were specified for the building by architects Meyer Shircore and Associates. Due to reasons outside the builder’s control, Thump’s services were sought with only a few weeks left for completion.

In spite of the short delivery period, Thump was able to get the glass balustrades installed at the building. Happy with the speed of installation, the builder appreciated the commitment showed by Thump staff in getting the balustrade installed before the building’s handover. The builder is in contact with Thump’s sales staff for another project in Perth.

Peter from GE added that Thump provided a very high level of service, assistance and quality on the balustrade installation, which has attracted appreciation from many people for the quality of the welding and finish on the handrails. He also commended the Thump staff for executing the work with very little disruption to other works being carried out to complete the fit-out.
