Shopfront door closures from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) were installed for Sunlit Asian Supermarket located at the new Westfield Coomera redevelopment. Sunlit Asian Supermarket is a leading and rapidly expanding Queensland based Asian grocery brand. The doors were specified by Blackbox Retail Projects and the project managers were Burleigh Heads-based O’Flynn Builders.
ATDC was involved in several installations of their 2018 design shopfront door closures at this new QLD shopping centre redevelopment.
The Sunlit installation was one of several retail stores at this shopping centre, which incorporated an innovative door stack storage minimising technique (termed the S07-2 side-by-side) featuring a parallel top track arrangement. This design reduces the side compaction of the door closure to 8 per cent of the opening span being secured. A seamless lock up solution is achieved with the use of multiple intermediate up/down locking mechanisms.
Numerous tenancies at this site have also incorporated the parallel top track arrangement in a curved configuration, which enable the door closures to traverse tight radius curves, S-bend curves and even angular shaped openings.
