Retractable security barriers from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) are being standardised across the Star Carwash network of wash bays to secure their on-site cleaning chemicals.

Many of Star Carwash wash bays are located in the high traffic car parks of the country’s leading shopping centre networks such as those owned by Westfield, LendLease, QIC and AMP. These wash bays require on-site cleaning chemicals to be stored safely and securely and out of reach of the general public. Additionally, many of these wash bays are installed in difficult locations with numerous structural limitations such as low height ceilings and odd-shaped apertures.

ATDC’s retractable security barriers were identified as an effective solution for the Star Carwash wash bays. These barriers are highly flexible with a portable, trackless and retractable design that can span any width and accommodate any angle including curved configurations.

Several ATDC barriers have been recently tested as compliant in specific conditions with the Australian Standard 4687-2007 Temporary Fencing and Hoardings. ATDC’s barriers also have an independently audited comprehensive WHS Risk Assessment for added workplace health and safety assurance.

Setting the industry benchmark for quality and safety, ATDC’s retractable security barriers incorporate BCA compliant egress locking facilities that allow for keyless exit during emergencies.

ATDC’s retractable security barriers are designed to secure almost any type of opening at airports, railway stations, government buildings, shopfronts, shopping centre foodcourts, warehouses, loading docks, temporary tenancies, outdoor eateries and restaurants, hotels, pubs and clubs or partitioning, and are also suitable for crowd control and access control applications among many more.

Recent overseas installations of ATDC’s retractable security barriers include Hong Kong International Airport, Heathrow International Airport, Port Moresby International Airport and Nadi International Airport, Fiji.
