After Aussie success, ATDC’s expandable security doors now installed at overseas international airports

Following the successful installation of expandable security doors from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) at the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne International Airports, similar projects have been executed at various airports in overseas locations.

ATDC’s expandable security door installations were first installed for retailers at the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne International Airports, leading to similar successful projects at overseas international airports such as Heathrow, Hong Kong, Nadi (Fiji) and Port Moresby (PNG).

Four installations were recently completed at Port Moresby International Airport, Papua New Guinea where ATDC’s expandable security doors are being used to secure large retail tenancies. To address retailers’ concern for the security of stock and property, Australian architectural firms are specifying ATDC’s expandable security doors to meet their requirements for a cost-effective barrier capable of spanning very wide expanses across irregular shaped openings with no overhead support structure.

ATDC’s trackless expandable security doors are designed to fold neatly out of the way when not in use and can be stored in joinery cupboards at the extremities of the openings or simply wheeled away on their heavy duty bottom castors for storage off-site.

More recently, the world renowned Plaza Premium Lounge Network installed ATDC’s expandable security doors at the entrance to their lounge at Terminal 2, The Queen’s Terminal, Heathrow International Airport. Plaza Premium Lounge is a global service brand headquartered in Hong Kong and operating at more than 120 locations in 28 airports.

Plaza Premium has installed ATDC’s trackless expandable security doors as an access control measure across the entry to the business lounge. Since this particular opening had minimal fixing points and the overhead structure was too high for a cost effective overhead door to be fitted, ATDC’s precision engineered barrier with its high quality exterior powdercoated finish was deemed suitable for the high profile location.
