Koodaideri Contracting Services, Western Australia's first 100% fully indigenous owned lifting company has invested in a 25 tonne crane from Terex Lifting Australia .

Established in May 2012, Koodaideri Contracting Services specialises in lifting while also executing various contracting jobs within the rail and construction industries.

Managing Director, Peter Todd explains that they decided on a Terex 25 tonne Pick and Carry crane because it was the right size for their needs.

The contracting company assessed different cranes in the market with mobility as the primary requirement as they worked on construction sites and in mines with rough tracks, and needed a crane with the manoeuvrability to get to any of the lifting sites.

Listing out the equipment’s strengths, Peter says that the Terex Mac 25 crane delivers operator comfort, ease of manoeuvrability, smooth control, sizeable carrying capacity and ability to operate virtually anywhere.

Peter sees a lot of potential for a crane of this size in the gas pipeline construction business. The crane will also be useful in their rail projects, which involve lifting 25-30 metre lengths of rails and travelling with the load.

Peter adds that the 25-tonne cranes also create an expectation in the client of the contactor’s ability to deliver performance on the job in terms of getting the job done on time and within budget.
