The Tensile team was involved in a unique indoor hanging garden project in Sydney where they were required to suspend several pots with plants from the high ceiling.

Working with green roof and wall specialists Junglefy, and talented industrial designer Adam Cornish to help bring the design concept to life, Tensile suspended large and small rustic pots from the ceiling on a single stainless steel cable with the pots filled with lush indoor plants.

The project was executed for software company Atlassian who wanted a unique and interesting way to fill the space in the main entry to their new Sydney offices.

Each steel rod held one large pot counterbalanced by four smaller pots on the other side. The rods had to be functional, strong enough to hold the pots, and also look good and match the design of the pots.

Tensile has worked on several unique projects across the world, using their stainless steel wire, tension cables, rods and tensile mesh in different installations based on unusual designs.

Hanging gardens in an office building create a sense of calm and tranquillity in what can often be a stressful environment. They improve productivity amongst workers, enhance air quality inside the building and add to the overall aesthetics.
