The developer of a new apartment building located in Brisbane’s West End chose to partner with leading Australian paint brand Taubmans to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes.

Featuring a mix of completed and under-construction residential developments, Brisbane’s West End is drawing new residents who are attracted to this colourful part of the city. The Canvas Apartments, being developed by Pradella, is located on a difficult triangular site, with fantastic elevated views of the Brisbane CBD, the Brisbane River and Mount Coot-tha.

Designed to respond to the dynamism of the evolving neighbourhood, Canvas Apartments represents a practical elaboration of what it means to live in a subtropical urban environment, where views outwards and privacy concerns are held in balance. This balancing act is achieved by the facade design, which also gives the development its distinctive profile.

So named as it sought to provide a new canvas for residents to make their mark, Canvas Apartments uses colour as a crucial aspect of the design. Pradella chose Taubmans as their partner to achieve the desired outcomes for paints, architectural coatings and finishes on internal as well as external surfaces throughout the new building.
