SUPAWOOD’s decorative SUPATILE SLAT acoustic ceiling tiles and
SUPACOUSTIC CUSTOM acoustic panels have been used for the ceilings of an award
winning workplace renovation for the relocation of The Australian Finance Group
(AFG) in Perth.
The project designed by Hassel WA involved creating a fit-out occupying
2200m² over four floors and needed to remain sympathetic to a newly renovated
1968 building. The client requested that the design encompassed a focus to
encourage new work collaboration practices while embracing the AFG corporate
brand.
The brief demanded a palette of materials which met ESD criteria, were durable
and fully coordinated to provide adaptability for future reconfiguration. By
choosing from the SUPAWOOD products range designers were given adaptable solutions
to select the correct sophisticated linings they needed to fulfil their
client’s brief within a set budget.
SUPAWOOD’s product range provided a broad and flexible choice with a
wide range of looks, finishes and options which would match the designers’
model. To solve the problem of installing in existing spaces, custom sizes were
ordered to suit. SUPAWOOD’s technical assistance was available throughout the
entire design process.
SUPACOUSTIC CUSTOM acoustic ceiling panels in V-Breeze pattern SUPAFINISH
Black were installed with concealed fixings, access hatches and integrated
service panels. In other areas a directional look has been achieved with SUPATILE
SLAT acoustic ceiling tiles in SUPAFINISH Spotted Gum integrated with strip
lighting, the Lift & Shift tiles providing full accessibility. The choice
of SUPAFINISH ensures these ceilings are easy to maintain and long lasting.
The finished result is a long lasting, functional and adaptable
workplace. This project won the 2013 WA’s DIA for Corporate Award of Merit for
Interior Spaces and was described by the judges as “Simple rationalized
planning techniques and sophisticated material palette”.
