The new HEDA steel jambs, available from Studco Building Systems , offer a fast and easy way of creating openings in both internal and external walls.

Traditionally, wall openings have required 2 or 3 studs at each side of the jamb and a series of studs and track to act as a lintel. The new HEDA system utilises fewer sections and connections; decreasing construction time and simplifying the process.

The HEDA jamb systems consist of only the following 2 items:

  • HEDAJamb - 92mm wide and 75mm deep, and suits the standard 92mm steel stud system from Studco. Made from galvanised steel, the HEDAJamb section can be used for both the opening jambs (vertical members) and the lintels and sills (horizontal members) and it eliminates the need for using multiple studs and stud/track combinations.
  • HEDAConnector - new bracket used to connect the HEDAJamb to adjoining members. This versatile bracket is suitable for all connections required around the openings, eliminating the need for ordering different brackets for different connections.
Fully engineered to meet BCA requirements and Australian, these HEDA steel jambs meet the demands of almost all opening applications, however Studco can custom design them to suit demanding specifications.
