Stormtech , a regular supplier of drainage channels and systems to projects by architect Glenn Murcutt, recently announced that it will fully sponsor a selected Aboriginal architect, graduate or senior student of architecture to participate on the two-week residential 2011 Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Master Class.
The 2011 Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Master Class will be held at 'Riversdale', the Arthur and Yvonne Education Centre and at the Carriageworks Centre for Contemporary Art and Culture. The Master Class will run from 10th to 24th July 2011.
Stormtech was founded by John Creighton in 1989 after he invented a drainage solution for a hobless shower for a wheelchair bound client. His son Troy Creighton now runs the drainage solutions company.
Stormtech has been a winner of a Design Mark at the Australian Design Awards, is a member of the Standards Australia Committee, and exports its range of architectural drainage systems worldwide.
The scholarship will cover tuition fees, all accommodation and most meals over the two-week program. The Master Class has been running annually since 2001 and has attracted 300 architects from 55 nations across the world.
