Smoke Control recently offered design assistance, and supplied, installed and commissioned their Fibershield fire curtain system in Santos House in Queensland. The fire curtains were installed to protect the first 8 storey opening in Santos House.
Fibershield fire curtains comply with AS1530.4 and AS1905.2 and were installed to be a single span system with no overlaps to ensure reliable compartmentalisation.
Fibershield fire curtains are a high quality, state of the art automatic fire protection barriers that are practically invisible in non-fire mode. The unique fire curtain system allows Architects and Designers to provide large openings in floor slabs, which was essential for the design in the Santos House.
