Smoke Control installed a range of boundary control solutions at a home on Great Ocean Road.
Designed for homes situated in bushfire prone areas, the Smoke Control range included Warrior Fyreslide FZ doors, full height frameless façade, Warrior operable FZ and Warrior fixed FZ in addition to various fire rated glazing solutions. All the products met the AS3959 standards of building in bushfire prone areas.
The Warrior glazed range provides fire protection to bushfire prone areas with a BAL-FZ rating. A minimum -/30/- solution is required for building in bushfire prone areas and must be tested to comply with AS3959.
Design considerations such as the strong wind loads on a largely glazed facade, led to the installation of reinforced fire rated glazed fin pillars to provide enhanced stability.
