Silestone by Cosentino was a major winner in the recent kitchen reveals on The Block.

Employing organic colours and textured surfaces, the contestants impressed the judges with their innovative and contemporary kitchen designs. This year’s renovations saw contestants move away from clean, neutral spaces often seen in modern homes, to using natural hues and surfaces, adding depth and interest to the kitchens.

Quartz surface specialists, Cosentino helped the contestant couples create modern, functional kitchens that not only reflected their personal styles but also addressed the premium environment of The Block's South Yarra location.

The winners of this week’s renovation challenge, Ayden and Jess designed their kitchen as a modern take on traditional kitchen style. Ayden and Jess chose the neutral, veined tones of Silestone Lyra for the benchtop, providing a clean, natural look to their classically-styled kitchen.

According to Gary Isherwood, Area Manager for Cosentino Australia, this year’s renovations highlighted the popularity of natural, organic colours and materials in creating modern designs and impressive spaces. Cosentino has observed a growing trend of using contrasting materials such as wood and marbled surfaces to create rooms with depth and added interest, in a number of kitchen renovations on The Block: Triple Threat.

He added that all the kitchen designs combine style and function, enabling future apartment owners to enjoy these spaces for many years to come.
