Cosentino’s Silestone quartz surfaces were featured in all five kitchens
in the kitchen reveal segment of the popular television show, The Block.
One of the most eagerly awaited segments of The Block, the kitchen
reveal saw all the contestant couples unveil some of the most striking and
unique kitchen designs in the programme's history as they delivered modern,
functional spaces that reflected their unique personal styles. As seen in
The Good Guys Kitchens on The Block, Cosentino’s Silestone is featured in all
five kitchens.
This week’s renovation challenge saw a tie for the top spot with couples
Michael and Carlene, and Simon and Shannon showcasing distinctly different
looks in their respective kitchens. Michael and Carlene’s ‘Manhattan Chic’
styling contrasted with Simon and Shannon’s ‘Industrial Luxe’ space; however,
both kitchen designs embraced new trends including textured materials and
luxurious accents as well as the butler’s pantry.
Cosentino’s Silestone quartz surfaces were selected by both couples;
thanks to the diverse range of colours and textures available in Silestone, each
apartment was able to convey a completely unique look and feel.

Block contestants outdid themselves with the kitchens this year, designing
fantastic and functional spaces that the future owners will be able to enjoy

this year’s renovations, with exposed brick, quartz surfaces and integration
with outdoor areas balancing out the bold, modern design elements for truly
striking spaces.

Going for an opulent look in their kitchen that combined modern
industrial style with classic New York chic, Michael and Carlene selected exposed
brick contrast with copper accents, akin to a Manhattan brasserie while
sophisticated matte black cabinetry and dual benchtops in Silestone Bianco
Rivers and Blanco Zeus ensured the timeless look will last.
Chris and Jenna
Chris and Jenna paired off modern styling with natural materials for a
two-toned kitchen that combined the functionality of generous storage with the
aesthetics of striking design. Glass cabinets and the bold black Silestone Tao
benchtop give the space a modern feel, contrasting beautifully with
timber-grain cabinetry and floor-to-ceiling display shelving for a personal
touch.
Karstan and Maxine
Designedas the perfect
entertaining space, Karstan and Maxine’s light and airy kitchen featured the
neutral tones of Silestone Yukon for the benchtop, contrasting with the darker
grey Silestone Cemento Spa to provide plenty of room for informal dining and
entertaining.
Simon and Shannon
Choosing an industrial luxe theme, brothers Simon and Shannon combined
textured materials with subtle detailing, selecting the darker marbled tones of
Silestone Doradus from the Nebula series and the opulent gold metallic cabinetry
for a designer statement.
Darren and Deanne
Darren and Deanne’s modern classic kitchen features a traditional
neutral palette in an elegant setting. Classic cabinetry has been paired, in
true Hamptons’ style with the crisp white of Silestone Blanco Zeus in the
exclusive Cosentino Suede texture.
