Aesthetics, flexibility, acoustic performance and functionality are some of the primary considerations when designing for modern educational environments.

Aeta Studio, which was engaged to design the University of Sydney Meco Lab, selected the Static range from the Pixel carpet tile collection as it checked every box for requirements such as colour choice, flexibility, acoustic support and ease of maintenance.

Aeta Studio’s design used colour to demarcate each room in the Meco Lab, allowing easy identification. The extra heavy-duty carpet tiles also help with sound absorption, minimising disruption to staff and students.

With a Green Tag certification, Pixel’s Static carpet tiles from Signature Floors make for a sustainable choice.
