At this year’s Saturday In Design event, Sebel launched their new range of Chameleon office chairs.

Chameleon office chairs have been designed to blend in or stand out, offering architects, interior designers and customers, unique colour customisation options to reinforce their clients’ corporate branding in office and retail space environments.

With hundreds of PMS colours to choose from, there is the option to choose any colour backing for Chameleon office chairs, to either match or contrast - a system that is being patented by Sebel Furniture.

The range of Chameleon office chairs includes Ergonomic Office Chairs in either high or medium back; Ergonomic Executive Chairs with a high back; Office Side Chairs (plastic and fabric) and the Tub chair.

The new benchmark and leading Chameleon office chair is the Ergonomic Office Chair, which features an adjustable gas lift mechanism, and a generous wide seat for extra comfort and optional depth adjustment.

The one–click lumbar support system in the Chameleon office chair prevents accidental adjustment, while the multiple density foam in the chair ensures comfort and assists circulation, while the cast aluminium frame with polished die-cast-five star base, ensures durability.

The Chameleon office chair range is also ideally suited to Green Star applications. The plastic components are moulded in Australia, using recycled materials (excluding specific outer). At the end of the chair’s long lifecycle, it is genuinely recyclable and turned into a new seat in Sebel’s own manufacturing plant in NSW.

The Chameleon office chair is tested by Sebel, beyond the Australian Furnishing Research and Development Institute (AFRDI) Level 6 grade, and has a 15 year office use warranty for the seat components only.

Sebel Furniture is the only Australian manufacturer with a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) certified in-house testing facility. Only AFRDI can test and certify to the same standards as Sebel Furniture.

The Chameleon office chair has been tested over 320,000 cycles at 150kg, beyond the severe duty standard of AS 4438.
