Schiavello Group provided various product solutions for newly developed facilities at the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Adelaide.

A major referral centre for acute care and emergency services in the northern region of Adelaide, Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH) provides a wide range of medical, surgical, diagnostic and support services to a population of nearly 200,000 people living primarily in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

To support the rapid and extensive expansion of its services and facilities in recent years, LMH is carrying out a $300 million redevelopment project, which will increase bed capacity to 396.

As part of the Stage C Redevelopment, Schiavello worked with the hospital to provide product solutions for the new 96-inpatient building and the new Women’s and Children’s health hub.

Schiavello leveraged its extensive experience in the healthcare industry, and worked with specialised fabric supplier, Materialised to develop the right product solutions for the hospital. Intermede sleepers, recliners and chaise lounges were offered in fabrics that were not only MAT-11 for healthcare purposes, but also colourful to meet the hospital’s design brief to provide a modern hospitality environment for patients and staff.

Schiavello worked with its local manufacturing facility and the fabric supplier, Materialised to bring all elements of the project together within a short lead time.
