Braille and tactile signage from S2K Identity Systems is designed for the blind and visually impaired, and complies with the Australian Building Code (section D3.6). S2K Braille and tactile signage incorporate Grade 1 Braille, as well as raised letters and symbols for people who are unable to read Braille.

Braille3D, Braille and Tactile membranes are compatible with the Architectural Modular Series, and Braille3D is suitable for use on any of the inserts in the Architectural Modular Series range. This system allows the Braille and tactile insert to be interchangeable if required.

All Braille and tactile signage from S2K is made from plastic materials and laminated to aluminium plates for mounting to substrate. Metal faces on Braille and tactile signage are not available. Braille and tactile signage must be placed at a maximum top height of 1600mm and a minimum bottom height of 1200mm.

Braille and tactile signage must be mounted to the wall on the latch side of the door no closer than 50mm from the frame.

In the event that there is not enough room on the latch side of the door, Braille and tactile signage may be placed on the non latch side of the door.
