Rondo systems were used by the contractor Knight Plastering to execute the plastering work at a luxury resort in Hervey Bay, Queensland.
The Peppers Pier resort complex features 132 luxury apartments over five storeys including two-storey penthouses, all overlooking a lagoon pool set amongst timber boardwalks and tropical landscapes. The resort also houses conference rooms, restaurants, retail shops and a tavern all overlooking the beach and pier.
Rondo products used in the plastering work included EXANGLE finishing sections and steel stud drywall framing system.
Knight Plastering’s scope of work for the plastering contract included all of the internal and external steel framing as well as the ceiling systems. The Rondo Technical Services Department worked closely with CSR Gyprock to create a suitable external wall system. Over 30,000 lineal metres of 92mm 1.15bmt lipped studs were used for the external wall system in addition to over 45,000 lineal metres of 64mm 0.50bmt lipped studs for the internal walls.
