Rheem Australia announces the launch of a
brand new range of electric hot water systems featuring fresh aesthetics,
extended life and a 10-year cylinder warranty.
Rheem’s new-look electric water heaters have
been designed with a range of new features that extend their life, while the 10-year
cylinder warranty is the longest electric water heater warranty on the
Australian market.

Electric explains that the new electric water heaters available in 250L, 315L
and 400L capacities, have undergone substantial re-engineering and redesign to provide
more than 10 years of operation.
New features in Rheem’s electric hot water
systems include a redesigned cylinder dome top with a stronger, more robust
design; larger sacrificial anodes (increased from 21mm to 27mm) to support the
new electric range, providing physically more material to help protect and
prolong the life of the cylinder; and
commercial grade, proprietary blend Class Y enamel stronger and more durable
than domestic grade Class X enamels, offering greater resistance to high
temperatures, and extending the life of the heater.
Aesthetic modifications made to the new Rheem electric
water heaters include replacing the name band with a Rheem badge and technical
label, delivering a cleaner new appearance; and embossed pipe-seals for the
relief valve, inlet and outlet identifying the fitting type more clearly.
The 250L to 400L models also receive enhanced
packaging livery, clearly displaying that the range has a 10-year cylinder
warranty, is Australian made and has dual handed fittings. QR codes are also
provided for plumbers and consumers to refer back to dedicated product landing
pages on the Rheem website.
Rheem’s 250L, 315L and 400L electric water
heaters are made in Australia at Rheem’s Rydalmere NSW manufacturing facility,
providing the assurance of excellent product quality. Ben adds that all Rheem
products are made in wholly owned and operated Rheem manufacturing facilities, and
are backed by a 50-strong local R&D team as well as a national sales,
service and support network.
