Taronga Zoo continued its long-term association with Projex Group and the Wolfin waterproofing system with the latest installation of waterproof membranes at the Lemur Adventure Park. Wolfin membranes were previously installed in many areas of the Sydney zoo such as the Asian Elephant enclosure, the Coastal Precinct and the Gorilla enclosure.

Similar to all other projects carried out at Taronga Zoo, the latest installation of Wolfin membranes also had to meet the key objectives of waterproof integrity and longevity. The client also insisted on keeping the animals undisturbed and wanted to make sure they will not have to be relocated due to failures in the waterproofing.

The project was achieved using the Wolfin waterproofing system comprising of the Wolfin IB and Wolfin GWSK membranes, and executed by Galdar Waterproofing, an experienced and licensed Wolfin applicator in collaboration with Projex Group (Wolfin Membrane Australia), who provided the necessary CAD drawings and custom design systems. Projex Group worked very closely with their Licensed Applicators to ensure all details, terminations, installation and QA of the system fulfilled all project requirements.
